Hi - these belonged to my grandparents who’s family come from Austria and the Holland. The marks on the bottom are not clear - is anyone able to help identify the maker and age of these please?

The closest mark I can find in Rontgen is a KPM, Berlin mark from the 1940s.

Thanks - are you able to post a picture of that mark? Looking at the wording around the edge of the circle the spacing/shape, it appears very similar to F.A.Schumann and this mark image which is much earlier.

Gries (written the old way/locally still in use), Sago and Reis.
    semolina, sago, rice.
    so KPM makes sense.
Reis seems not to be Dutch.

I'd go with the Schumann. It is similar to the KPM mark, but much more like the Schumann, and the items aren't things I'd expect from KPM.

Thanks - they are both similar - I guess it’s impossible to say which one it is, but they are both 19th century rather than 20th century, so at least I have a potential age.

I'd go for Schumann as well. the problem is that there is also Schumann Bavaria/ or /Arzberg besides Schumann Berlin.

the way Griess is written as Gries fits in with your Austrian heritage (and Switzerland doesn't like those hard Prussian double-s either, hurts the ears...).
