Good afternoon. Im reaching out today in hopes of some advice or knowledge. Ive had this piece a long time not knowing it may be an antique. Recently a friend of the family saw it & seems to think it may be something Antique & possibly of value. Could someone please tell me if this looks like anything special. Thank you in advance.

This looks French in style. It has gold metal ormolu accents. It looks to be a veneered piece with banded inlay. It is not antique, I would say no older than the 1940s or 50s. Quality and condition are the most important when pricing furniture. I would say about 300 for your piece as it has veneer damage and the ormolu is not the best of quality. It is very pretty though :)

That is one heck of a lot of veneer damage and would be very difficult to fix, I would think. I think Daniel's estimate is rather aggressive. @verybrad

French empire style but not period. Think 70s or later. The 60s copies from Italy were better quality than this. Maybe Egyptian or Asian in origin.

The people that have this to me a long time ago, had their home decorated in what I believe was called french country!?! They were very very well to do. I actually was their full time housekeeper/house manager. They lived in a 27,000 sq ft home & I know they owned some very valuable pieces. Up until someone mentioned something about this chest, I never gave any thought to the fact it quite possibly could have some value. I sorta kinda got my hopes up today. Haha
It sounds like majority votes its nothing to call home about. Poop.
Oh well, I do enjoy it. And it sure is nice keeping all my undergarments & whatnot all in one chest.
Once again.. Thank you to anyone that's taken the time to lend me your expertise.

You must have an absurd amount of underwear.:)
You might find more examples by calling it a tallboy, I doubt anybody but the most dedicated fetishist would devote that much space to lingerie.
In general I'd agree with the others.

properly called a "semainier" because it has a drawer for every day of the week.

I can assure you, no fetishist here!!
    I'm 40 years old, what can I say ?
The older I get, the more you have to under...wear.
Plus I keep my swimwear in there.
I've also seen someone call it a "seven day chest". I'm assuming for every day of the week.
