This chair was given to me. Any thoughts about the maker, date of manufacture? Any and all info is appreciated

For whatever reason, when I post photos from my phone this is how it's attaching them these days too.

that's likely the most comfy ladder back I've ever seen.......

I suspect my phone updated something that can't talk as well to the site but could be something else. It's been going on a little while. Much easier from my laptop.

 

The height from the floor to the top of the seat 1s 13 1/2 inches. From the floor to the top of the back is 40 inches and the seat is 20 inches across. I am located in Southern California...Orange County.....my friend gave it to me today....

 

Seagrass or rush rather than rattan for the seat, I think.
Rattan is seen mostly on Asian made furniture.

 

I was in a rush to state rattan.........

 

And you didn't sea grass.

 

I think this is an older chair, maybe mid-20th century or a bit older. Do think it has been cut down. Typical seat height is 17"-18". Other possibility is that it was originally a rocker.

I have both....

Backyard outdoor seating varies from Seattle to Maine to Utah.
Some States.....metal is better , others , plastic , and others just fine for natural materials !!
