I take it by "Boots chemist" that you mean what we in the states would call a pharmacy? So.....one might call this an apothecary cabinet?

You've definitely got some condition issues going on here. I'd say that age is around the turn of the 20th century, maybe a bit earlier. There could definitely be a market for this, but it would be fairly specialized. With the condition issues and the work that it would take to get this piece looking nice, I'd say you'd be lucky to get $200-$300 for it in my part of the U.S. midwest.

Boots is a very large pharmacy (chemist) chain in the UK. I think the age is early 20th century based on the drawer pulls. I would say $200 maximum here in my part of the Midwest.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

When the image is enlarged, you can see how 'rough shape' it really is in, even though it looks nice from a distance! From the shiny left corner on top, to me at least, it looks like it's been waxed too. I can't offer an estimate, but if someone wants a 'project' it could be a good reasonable buy.......

Its been painted several times and well used then stripped with caustic soda.

    1920's

25-30 years ago when stripped pine was very popular it would have fetched about £400-500 in the UK and left in that rustic condition or Bri-waxed. and put in the kitchen.

Not an apothecary cabinet - it's the type that went below or behind a shop counter, and took sundries of all sorts.

Whilst Boots were and still are a "chemists" shop, they also even then, sold all sorts of other stuff, lotions, potions, toiletries and so on. Hot water bottles even. Baby stuff, sunglasses, you name it. Chocolate. Sandwiches even.

They used to be a manufacturing and research pharma too, but got out of that. These days, their core business is good cosmetics on top of all that other stuff, but they do still dispense.

If that were in original condition it would do really well, especially if it had any of the ivorine labels.
