Help identify mark on midcentury vase

    IMG_2405.jpeg IMG_2407.jpeg I presume this is midcentury vase but I haven't been able to find anything that resembles this mark. Is anyone perhaps familiar with this? Hope these pictures will do, my camera isn't the sharpest but I can try to make more if needed of course.

    Probably "studio pottery" with that eccentric "mark."

    I'd be thinking Japanese or something like.

    Thanks for the input, Japanese didn't cross my mind though because I would assume to see at least some Japanese characters or inscription..but I could be wrong
