Featured Help identify. Crafts from Bamyan valley, Afghanistan.

    Hello, dear all.
    I travelled in Afghanistan a couple of month ago, and in Bamian valley locals gave me this crafts.
    I would like to figure out, what it is.
    If you have some ideas and can help with identification - I would be grateful.

    Welcome the the forum Alex-very interesting iconography.Is Afghanistan welcoming Western tourists now and how did you choose to go there ?

    Interesting. The crossed swords symbol is the only one familiar to me. The "inscriptions" look like a cross between Asian (Chinese) characters and Cyrillic.
