I was thinking about buying this vase but who could the maker be and would I ever find out? It's about 8 inch tall and heavy hand blown by the looks of bottom. Looks like knots on it. Hope pictures are ok took them in store. THANKS everybody!!!

Sorry, I can't offer much help but you could try searching for vases with "punts" and see if that gives you any leads. It's a shame it's not signed.

I had one of these recently, bought from a friend at his garage sale. He said it was new(ish) giftware, which he purchased at a boutique gift shop. So, not bargain basement TJ-Maxx or Big Lots, but not semi-upscale like Macy's or Lord & Taylor.

It was marketed as a votive candle holder - mine was between 4" & 5" tall - but could also be used as a small vase. He couldn't remember where it was made, unfortunately. My best guess was modern Asian. Mine just had a flat-polished bottom, instead of the polished pontil.

WOW Thank you unclechuck that's it! And I like the color of yours better than the one I was thinking about buying. And dgbjwc yeah, I'll never understand why some things are not signed. You people on this forum are the best!!!! And I'm not blowing smoke :cigar: either.
