    Can anyone make out the name on the 1st one. The second is unsigned.

    I think that is a framed poster of an exhibition in Amsterdam. I remember seeing that poster, but can't remember where. Maybe in a book of Dutch graphic arts of the early-mid 20th century? It bears the crest of Amsterdam.

    The houses seen through the window look like Dutch canal houses, and the man has just kicked off one of his clogs. There are also a microscope, a Gouda pipe and a tulip on the table, all associated with the Netherlands.
