Help ID Bronze/brass ornate bowl

    I was curious to know what this bowl was used for? Also possible age? Measures 12 1/2 inches diameter. Measures 6 pounds and a few ounces. Thank you for any info! I am not sure if it's bronze or brass.

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    Looks like somebody may have put water in it, to use for flowers? Just wondering because of the pattern of the tarnish. Somebody else may have a better idea.

    I have no clue. Yes it appears to have had something in it. I thought a bird bath as well but wasnt for sure
