Help ID Asian, Possibly Japanese china mark

    I am trying to help ID this set for a friend of mine. these are the only pictures he sent me so i hope for the best.

    It just says Kutani. It's geishaware with lithophanes.

    And the reason so much exists in the West is that it was carried as ballast on tea clippers. Very pretty, I always think.
