Help I/D makers name.

    Nice buckle!! Needs some "elbow grease" lovin'!!!! Looks like a small BD above what looks like Dan or Don then Staato or Staats.....and maybe a scratched in date of '77? Nobody's polished that in a long time I'd say!!! Might say sterling under all that dark....but not always marked either!!

    Last name could be Laate. Some of them are jewellers. There's a Danette, but she does fetishes. Phyllis was a jeweller.

    Wow thanks everyone for all the quick responses I tried every combination of the letters and didn’t see anything but like always leave it up to all the guys and gals here and boom things appear . I tested it with silver acid and it tests as silver. I think the 2 letters at the to say ...by...Like always you guys are amazing thank you for all the responses Matt

    Other than the curly underneath on the second pic - they look like a match to me.

    The difference in the sigs may just be an evolution of his signature over time, and/or the application. One looks scratched in and the other is done by an engraving machine. I know those are tough to control once you get moving with it.
