Help gossip bench Victorian?

Hi - found this in the attic and completely unsure of age and value (thinking about selling as we are moving and cna't store anymore). Anyone shed any light? I think it’s called a gossip bench but not 100% sure. Looks like an phone chair/table and a quick google leads me to think a Victorian Gossip Bench.

 

Looks like a 1950's decorator telephone bench to me but WDIK from furniture

 

Doesn't a "gossip bench" have 2 seats - one facing forward, the other backward - so the gossipers can talk without being obvious?

 

Certainly looks like a phone bench. But not Victorian when, to state the obvious, that would have been a piece of furniture for which households had no use.

I think, rather than a tête-à-tête, a telephone bench is a "gossip" bench colloquially.

Maybe you can call a phone chair a "gossip bench". Here is a full photo of it. I'd say it's 1960s and not Victorian.

 

I have this chair and have always called it a tete-a-tete.

Would agree with a 50s-60s date.
