I was wondering if anybody could help ID or date this pair of chairs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you very much for your time.

1900's, give or take a few years, probably part of a dining room set. There were 100s of 1000s of manufacturers making stuff like this,so the 'who' might be hard to ascertain. You dont see the padded headrests that often,Im wondering if that might be church furniture.

I think Johnny is probably right on dating. Have seen people add padding to places that never were supposed to have padding before. Think that is the case here.

Had not noticed that and don't know if it is intentional or coincidental. I get the impression that these are not American. What is their provenance?

Johnny, the "carved" part on the back of the chair could be seen as an owl above a bunny rabbit!
