Help date a Kukri?

    I got this from my dad who got it from a friend, that's really all I know about it. Anybody have any knowledge of these and could help me place a date?

    My guess is ca. 1980. Could be later but not more than a few years earlier.

    I'd agree with previous posters, adding that the metal used in souvenir kukris is often quite low-quality; this leads to premature rusting, and can add an appearance of age; a 20-year-old souvenir kukri might well show more rust than an 80-year old example made of better steel.
