Hello from Northern Alabama

    Hi everyone!
    I'm from Northern Alabama, live in a 1908 bungalow in a historic district. We've managed to mostly decorate with pieces that would probably have been in the house when it was originally built and occupied. Of course, the sofas, chairs and tv stands aren't from the period just because they wouldn't work very well!

    I am mostly a quarter sawn oak collector, preferring that my pieces are a little on the unusual side. I believe that pieces of wood have a soul...not literally, but it has a warmth to it that other materials don't. I'm not sure why wood makes me feel so good, I can only attribute it to the aura that surrounds it.
