Hello Everyone!

    Long time lurker of the forums but glad to have finally signed up and engage in some meaningful conversations about antiques, fine arts, and collectibles.

    A little bit about myself. I work for a mid-sized auction house just north of Toronto, Canada and a long-time collector of Asian art before it exploded and then simmered down over the past decade.

    Currently employed as their director of acquisitions and hopefully revamping the way we do consignments by accepting quality items and generally being more discerning about the items we accept.

    Specifically a numismatics collector where I found my footing but generally appreciate anything that catches me eye. On my way towards becoming a personal property appraiser.

    Looking forward to getting to know everyone and posting the occasional picture (or three) of items that intrigue me (and not just necessarily from our own auction house!).

    I always liked the fact that Canadians adopted part of our local dialect.:D
    Except we would say: Eh... greetings, eh .:cool:

    No surprise we are the centre of the e-industry in The Netherlands.:)
