Heavy glazed pottery basket ?????

    I have no idea what to call this thing. I bought it a few weeks ago and now I am finally wanting to know if anyone knows what it's called or who what when etc.

    Assuming the 4 is what you paid.
    I think the initials are sideways and read TE

    Possibly Italian 1970ish

    Not sure what it is called.
    Used as decorative art, centerpiece.

    Looks like a very chunky Capodimonte...which is Italain. This is not very fine as good Capodimonte usually is. Capodimonte is usually marked Italy as well.

    Someone loaded it up with paint.....look at the loss thereof in the second and third images down!!!! IF it's glazed on......not very good sorry to say!

    Yes, I paid $4 for it. Now my best friend Lisa has it, she loved it so I gave it to her.
