I purchased this illustration at a yard sale in Kalamazoo a couple of summers ago for $15. It is by Harry Schaare and is the art for the story "A Man called Simas". It was a story in the August 1975 edition of Readers Digest. It is a watercolor on illustration board. The person who owned it stored it in a moist place and there are some spots of mold on the front. I was curious if anyone has had any experience with having a watercolor conserved and the process of treatment for mold spores? Overall it is in pretty nice shape but I would like to keep it nice condition for the future. IMG_1215.jpg IMG_1216.jpg IMG_1217.jpg

Can't help re conservation but I think that's a terrific find. Love illustration art.
