I have just introduced myself as a new member is a separate discussion but hello to anyone else who has not yet seen that.

I have dress making equipment that has been given to me to sell by my grandfather who inherited it from his sister who was a dress maker for Harrods.

I've included some photos and would be really interested if anyone can help me put some kind of value on it.

Full image photos would be better if you can enlarge them.
Its a pity it isn't Silver.

Its lovely and everything seems to be original to the the clip and believe me that is rare.
Pieces get taken off and sold separately and get pieces added so the fact that yours appears to be all original is a huge plus.

I can make out the crown for Sheffield.
I see EPNS too for Electro Plated Nickel Silver.

The crown isn't necesarily for Sheffield. It was common for silverplate, Electro Plated Nickel Silver, markings to be dressed up to resemble sterling marks. Crowns, fleur-de-lis were common devises used. This one appears to gave a fleur-di-lis on one end of the EPNS and a crown on the other end.

Like the others I can't make out the maker's mark either. I tried editing in hopes of seeing the 1st letter or symbol with no luck. At first thought a "D" but not so sure now. Have searched silverplate marks sites for "D G & Co" and anything similar and again no luck. Am including a couple of edits that didn't help me, maybe help someone else?

Here's the pic of the whole chatelaine for those that have trouble using thumbnails on phones. Also many just have time during the day to pop in quickly. They haven't the time at work to bother with thumbnails.

As PoisonIvy stated please always use the full image button for all photos. You can go back and fix this in an edit.
If you have trouble make your photos 480x640.
    Thank you. :)

I had commented on your Introduction thread and did not realize you'd started a separate one, Kirkl. Glad you've been getting the right eyes on it!

I see the bottom mark as E G & Co. I'll take a look but as I mentioned on the other thread, this may be for the retailer and not the maker.

(If that had been an E C & Co, we might be talking Elkington, but that second letter is definitely a G with the serif.)

    I agree it's a G.
Really unsure on the first letter though.

Rare to see one intact. I wonder how much it would be to replate it,and would that hurt or enhance the value? Lovely thing. Oh,and welcome Kirkl . :)
