'hand woven' oriental rug w/reg.#....help w/estimating value?

Hello everybody… I have had this rug for over 40 years, and since I don't have a place for it any more, I am going to sell it. I don't even know where to begin to estimate value, so I thought I would run it by this forum. It is 5 feet in diameter, the tag on it says "member oriental rug importers association." "Country of origin: India". "100% Wool Pile.", with a registration numbner: 19350. If anyone has experience or expertise in this aarea, it wouild ne very helpful if I had a "ballpark" value...low and high, so I have a starting point. Thanks in advance!!

not that I'm aware of.....
India is not as good at making Chinese rugs...as is china.

oh, ok...so it sounds like there aren't any aspects re. the rug that make it particularly special or unusual, correct?

 

Not much. It was just a decent quality rug when sold, nothing crazy.
