    Hi All,

Hoping someone can recognize the mark on this double handled hand painted small pot. Its open hearts are quite unique - wondering what it was used for. Any ideas?

It has a unique incised/inscribed mark in a rectangle - what looks to be a tree with two K's (the fist one backward) joined by an upside down arch that might be a C.

It is also marked "Hand Made" with smaller letters underneath that I can't read.

Below that is "Keramika" with another line underneath that I can't read. Probably from the Slovakia or Latvi Keramika 2 mystery indonesia Slovak Folk Art latvia.JPG Keramika 1 mystery indonesia Slovak Folk Art Latvia.JPG a region.

Any help solving this mystery would be much appreciated.

    TIA
    Kathy

Would this have held a glass insert for drinking out of, like Russian tea glasses? What's the size?

It stands 3-5/8" tall. Measures 5" across the top not including handles. 4-1/4" across the bottom. Wonder if it could be a votive candle holder - maybe with a glass insert as Bronwen suggests. What do you think?

Found two possibilities. Klikovská keramika or katarina Klestincova KK Keramicka both in Slovakia. Could it be one of these?

    Doesn't help (me) much, but:

So, too large for a tea glass. Candle holder a good suggestion.

Edit: Maybe CERAMIC is the next word?
