Hand Crafted Pottery Mug - Anybody Recognize the Artist Signature?

    Hi, all! I have this nice hand turned and painted pottery mug. The colors make me think "Mexico". However, the signature on the bottom has thrown me and though the clay is red or terracotta looking, it seems denser, more substantial than most Mexican pottery you see. What do you think?

    Well, I think I found something. I'm guessing it is Talavera. However, I'm not sure if it's from Mexico or Spain.

    I know a lot looked but could not help. Thanks for trying!
