Featured Hand carved wood printing blocks? What for and age help

Hi all I was hoping someone might know what these are and possible the age. i think they have something to do with printing but they are only designs and shapes. The triangle one is 6" x 4" and has what looks like an old repair on one corner.
The smaller one is 5 1/2" x 2". The eye hooks look added later for someone to hang them i guess?
A friend told me they were for printing on wallpaper? but i really have no clue.

 

They might also have been created to print fabric.

There are those who like to make custom, and using something like these, I'm pretty sure would fit the bill nicely!!!!

Yup, Indian printing blocks for fabric. I've had a few. There was a fascinating programme on the BBC a while back which showed them in use.
