Nice antique silver belt buckle with what looks like scenes from Classic mythology.
My first thought was Athena and the Nemean lion on the left, but that seems wrong. The one on the right is a mystery as well, so I need help from @Bronwen or anyone else knowledgeable on the subject.:)

And @DragonflyWink and @Bakersgma or others, would you agree the mark is Wolf & Knell, Hanau?

    Thank you for looking.:)

Not really seeing Wolf & Knell - with the crowned leopard-head and crowned 'N', would think Gebruder Dingeldein...

I'm afraid I don't have any idea on this one, AJ.

Thank you for looking anyway, Bakers.:)
    Thank you, Cheryl.
My first thought was a leopard head mark as well, but it has two depressions at the bottom of the 'head', where the mouth should be. I thought it could be an initial. Maybe I am interpreting the features, such as they are, the wrong way. It is very worn of course, or made to look worn.
The equally worn crowned N looked like a K before. Looking at it now, it could be an N.
Here are new photos, maybe it helps:

    So it does.:)
Most Hanau silversmiths were decendants of Dutch Protestants and Huguenots, but you never know.

Eh, they're poorly struck and/or rubbed, but I still just see the Dingeldein crowned leopard-head and a crowned 'N', which is also a Dingeldein mark - even though the one shown in the second pic of Dingeldein marks isn't identical (2nd down on left), seems a close enough variant when paired with the leopard-head...

Thanks Aqui.:) When I look through a loupe I see several things which look like worn or faded marks.
The bit in the upper right corner is part of a slightly bigger area which looks like a very faded crowned Gothic fraktur m. I see another very worn crowned mark close to it.
I'll take more pics tomorrow, but I think all those bits that looks like worn marks are just general casting irregularities and wear.:(

I think that is it. Just poorly struck and very worn, probably both, and slight differences in heads and fonts.
    Thanks again.:)
Yep, my marks get around.:D Thanks for looking.:)

I'm wondering if they both involve Cupid/Eros.

And that's all I've got on the topic. :bucktooth::p
