Hammered Brass Bowl Chinese?

    Bowl stands 1 5/8" tall and measures 5 1/2" across. Has a design in the center of the bowl, double lines near the top, and a design on the flat part of the rim. Does have some weight, it is not one of those lightweight pieces. Any idea on age and origin?

    Could it be a Tibetan singing bowl? You'll need a wooden mallet to try it out. There are videos online that show how to make them sing.

    New England I have a singing bowl, I think this bowl is the wrong shape.
