Hallmarked Only 14K Gold Ring

This ring I have has this cross or whatever you call it hallmark. I tested the karat with my gold acid test kit, 14k stays when on test stone. I have never seen this hallmark before on jewelry, does anyone have any thoughts on this ?

looks like an iron cross...but who's.........?

 

Doesn't really matter,generic mass produced ring,thin metal and most likely sold at dozens of dept stores and independent retail jewelry stores.

 

This is the classic look of plating eroding

 

It's not plating...... need a better photo of inside ring shank in the third photo about a quarter of an inch left of the makers mark.

 

I've seen that mark before, but can't remember where.
It could be the Bolnisi cross, symbol of Georgia (the country), I can't find any Georgian hallmarks.
Sometimes the Maltese cross is depicted with straight ends, but Maltese cross hallmarks have the distinctive pinched and pointed ends, just like the Amalfi cross which the Maltese is based on.

Could this be it? Looks like there is something in the center of the mark you show.

There is something in the center, though my jeweler said today that it wasn't gold.
