If they are in the Gallery, you might have them marked private instead of public.

I think it's got something to with snuff but that's all I know! It belonged to my grandfather who passed away 40 years ago, I have no information about it at all.

Does this tube unscrew and has a metal rod inside with a scoop at one end ?

Hi Rachel. Is this item a shell casing? Woops just noticed other items. This is what I came up with anyway. Uh oh. A different answer.
Lightwood & Sons, Partridge Works, Price Street, St.Mary's, Birmingham in WWI. They made all manner of components for small arms, cleaning rods for MGs, rifles and pistols, pullethroughs etc, as well as 84,000 oilers.

The acceptance stamp on your example is that of Inspector No.X3. I believe that what you read as "13" is in fact a poorly stamped italic "B" (or Greek Beta) which indicates that the inspector was based at BSA, Birmingham.

Brass oil bottle, it appears to have been chromed.

Ya, I know what I'd be using that for in the early 70s :) I'd clean that oil off first, however.
