    Hi all
Am in need of help for this piece. It is patinated bronze and stands well balanced. There is no markings and i was wondering whether this could be an early piece by Hagenauer. Austria.
    Many thanks for looking IMG_20220530_120838.jpg IMG_20220530_120844.jpg IMG_20220530_120924.jpg IMG_20220530_120929.jpg

It is lovely, but it doesn't look like any of the Franz Hagenauer gazelles I've seen. I'd guess it is more recent too.

Thanks for looking. I simply did not look too closely as i have just found a mark on the hind leg.
Looks like Italy......and a foundry mark?
So if Italy then it would sugest early 20thc....as opposed to *made in Italy* perhaps someone has seen this mark elsewhere

Is that a rule of thumb on bronzes? The first word is MADE, btw, so I assume it says made in Italy.;)
There is what looks like a foundry mark below it.

Just the mention of Hagenauer makes me go weak at the knees!
I love it and own a very battered horse and a little warrior. I’ve looked at a lot of H pieces on line and this doesn't look quite right.
It’s a lovely piece though and I’d give it house room any day.

I'm QUITE SURE I'm going to be wrong here, but this looks like it MIGHT say MADE in 'gARY' with the small 'g' being double struck below the first 'g'......but I also don't see a state that would go with....as in 'IN' !! VERY DIFFICULT to read!!!! BUT if being given away, I'd sure give it space also.... it's BEAUTIFUL!!!! AND GRACEFUL!!!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It does look like ARY at the end of that word. I can't make out the previous letter, though. And the symbol below that is not discernible. @norman warbreck , is there any way to get a clearer picture of that mark?

That's an AWFUL picture I posted above.....but I think I managed a bit better.....at least on my computer.....now to see if I can get it posted here still readable....
what I'm starting to see....is...I THINK...."MAGIARAY"....WITH a potential initial 'I' at the beginning of the word not visible....would that make any constructive sense???
