YIPES! They look SO hammered!!!! :(
I doubt you have anything there.
Get the names and models and search.
Maybe you will luck out with something rare but don't count on it.
The round keys are wanted by jewelry crafters and I hate to do that but...these..... :(
Wait for Shangas and others to check in.
And please enlarge all your photos always. :)

In this case, I don't think even the keys are salvageable. I hate to say it, but they look like scrap metal. Unless there's something exceedingly rare, they're probably goners.

There is usually a metal stamped tag I think. Probably on the back. It may be hell to read.
Look up; 'most valuable Olympia typewriters'. Same for Imperial and see if it's worth going further.

    GOOD GOD ABOVE

Yeeesh! I don't think these are salvagable on any level. Those old-timey circular, glass-capped keys are highly desirable...that's about the only thing on these worth saving. You might get SOME money for those...but that's about it. As others have said, though, to rip out the keys is almost sacrilege....

Did you look at those particular keys closely?

Someone might still want them. You never know. But I don't see any serious money here.

I am a typewriter fan but wouldn't want those. They wouldn't be madly desirable even in tiptop condition, alas. But they're a useful alternative to concrete boots ...

Here is an Imperial 58 that sold recently on eBay, in better condition.

I have an old Underwood that I bought years ago, also on Ebay. It's in nice condition and it's was fun finding an old manual and replacement ribbons. Even back then shipping was expensive.

A few times in the last couple years I've tried to pick old ones up at a local auction and in general I'd say the old ones with the old round keys went for about $35 in really good shape. If that helps. I didn't want them that badly;).

Thanks a lot guys. also @Debora thanks for the model number. just for info, whats so special about those keys and jewel makers? are they of any use.
Further Yes guys it was in an area with high humidity. In Sri lanka you get humidity above 80pc all most all the time. and above 90pc most of the time. may be the rusty look is due that

Round, glass-topped keys were used on typewriters from the 1800s up to around WWII. After the 1940s they basically vanished from the world. That means that any typewriter with glass keys is VERY old and therefore very desirable. The problem is that they're getting really REALLY hard to find these days, because people keep ripping out the keys to make bloody cufflinks and stuff.

The problem was no one wanted the manual typewriters. Now all of a sudden some young hipsters want some of them for decoration or sometimes to actually use, the way letterpress has come back as an art form.
