Green Stone Carved Dragon - Jade? or other?

First, I am under no illusion that this is an antique, but it doesn't fit anywhere else. And on top of that it was free.

Cold to the touch, darkish to lighter shades of green, almost translucent where the material is thin. The flash in a few pictures makes it look lighter than it is. Nicely carved details, 3 1/4 inches long, about 2 inches tall where his snout is up in the air.

I have a small piece made of BC jade that I got in Alaska and the color on this darker than that. Any ideas?

A shot of the bottom ? He looks pretty nicely carved to me,and I love the color.

 

I have a pic of the underside, but it's kind of dark. (Plus I didn't bother to resize it, so it will be a few minutes.)
