I generally don't buy cloisonné, but this little green beauty from the reseller's treasures called out to me. I am hoping the stamp on the bottom or other features will provide information on when it was created. It is small at 6 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches across the shoulders. From what I have seen, the decoration is a flowering plum, bamboo and a pink and white flower. I couldn't find the Sato Company history, but one seller referred to a piece as 20th century. Can anyone be more precise. I am truly grateful for any thought, comment, or link.

The vase is in the Ginbari technique, where they wrap foil around the textured body before applying the enamel. It gives the appearance you see under the green. Ando and Sato were the two of the foremost makers of this style, in good condition they do well so it was a good find. Date wise they are generally of the 1960's onwards period, I think they fell out of common production around the 1980's. Here are some similar pieces for you to see.

Ginbari pieces where I live are a tough sell. OTOH if you're buying for the hoard, who cares!
