Frat pin - discreetly worn on a lapel or given to a young lady to whom you (wished) to be romantically attached, known as Getting Pinned. It was the gentlemanly precursor to the red with lime green Greek lettered cap, intended to be worn backward to show your disdain, as opposed to your pride in being tapped. And as for a sign of romantic attachment, it appears that an empty beer can has replaced the pin. But the resultant unwanted pregnancy has remained the same.............
