    Hi Everyone,

Hoping someone can help me identify the glass maker & the torch looking mark above "Sterling" (last photo) on this Gorham signed ice bucket. Not sure if that "torch" mark belongs to the glass company or Gorham.

    TIA!

    What a lovely bucket!
Since the mark is on the silver, I would presume it must be relating to that, not the glass.
(And now to state what you probably already know...)
Gorham used symbols to denote year of manufacture from 1885-1933... though, oddly, I don't find your symbol among these:

Hopefully, someone else here can help!

The crystal body would be ABCG (American Brilliant Cut Glass)...

Thank you so much for the silver maker ID Cheryl! Any way to tell who made the crystal and what that pattern is?

Heh, not for me, but maybe someone else. Did you look for an acid-etched maker's mark?

    Nice piece...

Here's an additional photo of the glass from the inside. Hoping that will help someone identify the glass pattern & maker.

That’s one helluva ice bucket! I’ve got a doozie of a porcelain one but I like that a lot. Ice buckets tend to sell well in my experience. A luxurious item from the past that actually still gets used. Most items in that category simply get looked at or ignored, ice buckets still see action.

Try posting on the American Brilliant Cut Glass Association group’s page on Facebook. Very knowledgeable people there.

Thank you for the suggestion - we had our friends post the question on that group page and the consensus seems to be that it’s J. Hoare.
