Good Morning All! I hope you are all doing well and having a morning so far. I think this ring might be Japanese and I was wondering if this is a Akoya pearl. I don’t know much about pearls, only what I have learned from you guys so far. So I am looking forward to your opinions and expertise on this item. The housing to me, looks like it’s from the 1920’s? Any response will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and enjoy your Saturday! Sorry about the images, I took these outside on a cloudy day.

20s or 30s is reasonable. Might be British or one of our former colonies.

I think it is cultured akoya.
The setting style looks like it might be 1920s(as @Ownedbybear has mentioned) or even as late as 1940s. That time period is about right, as Japanese cultured pearl jewelry was quite popular then.
