Featured goldfish info

    They're usually Chinese, I think they're charming.

    Yes, based on traditional Chinese pendants. A charming charm.;)
    I have never seen them like this, with that mass produced look on the bottom of the tail.
    Is it articulated? The body should be able to bend. I'll see if I can dig up some of mine to show the articulation and flexibility in a photo.

    In Chinese culture goldfish symbolize wealth, so they are always the perfect gift.

    yes 3 pieces that move crude nail between each so i reckon original support had gone

    Found some slightly different models. These are all gold plated, and the tails are enameled on both sides.
    Each round of scales should be able to move separately:

    The mouths should be open, the wire that attaches the head to the body ends in a ring in the mouth, to which the bail ring is attached:

    Hi,
    I have 5 or 6 of them as Christmas decorations. They are fully articulated and beautifully enameled. Mine have the bails on top of the middle so hang life like.
    I love them, bought them years ago in Chinatown in NYC.

    Good idea Greg. I have a box full of the little ones. Since we always have a miniature christmas tree, I could put them in the tree.:)

    always amazed at something so simple to me can get people thinking oh I have something like that and being able to see different variations is great thanks guys like these they are pretty cool
