I was in Nebraska for an aunt's 90th birthday in the small town of Sargent. There was an antique show Junkathon. But they always have this antique store. This summer, I got to wondering if there was any real gold laid there on the table though I was doubtful. However, I am interested in hummingbirds and a pin shaped like one caught my eye and then the stones also caught my eye. It was the stones that made me purchase and I got it for $5. I was pretty sure I at least had real gemstones. Not being around gold that much, I kept cleaning it but still had doubts. Then I put it on a Facebook group stating that it was in fact 14 k. They even had a website where I could see how much the same pin sold for on eBay. But you had to pay for the website. So, I didn't. Would you be able to estimate a price on my pin?

Welcome fluterific! Have you had this pin tested for gold content by a reputable jeweler? How about the stones?

Just because a pin that looks like yours claims to be 14K, does not necessarily make it so.

Thanks! Haven't weighed it yet. I wonder if my food scale will work.

I can't see it, but think it's on the pin part.

I tried to take a photo of where I thought it may be marked but it isn't coming out very clear.

The diamond tested positive on the diamond tester, but that's the only testing I have done.
