    Sorry, can’t help with date, but that poor puppy is heavily stained. If you want to sell it you will most likely have a hard time :(

    DeBolt's book of marks has it as George Morley & Son(s) 1885-c1890 (earlier mark was different)

    I guess. I actually like the stained stressed look. If it doesn’t sell will be keeping it :D

    Possibly it was washed in a dishwasher many times.

    Is the Withnail reference related to the film Withnail and I? I saw that many years ago but unfortunately don't remember much about it. Maybe I should look it up again.
