Glazed Earthenware Stem Bowl

    Don't have a picture with side view so I don't know if you can get a good idea of the piece. Short stem and shallow bowl.
    Any idea where this is coming from? Studio piece?

    There was dirt that I cleaned so quite possible it was used outdoor. Bird bath or not I kind of like it.

    Oh, it's much nicer cleaned up! Good job! My temptation would be to say modern Chinese garden supply but the numbers in black magic marker are throwing me.

    Maybe it is not terribly old but in my opinion not very recent either. One of the reasons that make me think so is the fine crazing. I find the glaze interesting too.
    Don't know about the numbers. I doubt that they are museum ones but maybe dealers, auctions etc..?

    I think that's the price at the garden center - $43.99. My local nursery marks their pots et al exactly this way.
