Hi all. Picked up these purple stemmed 7 1 /2 inch cordials and have gotten nowhere on finding them. The real question is,why in the hell did I buy CORDIALS ?!? :) Any input is always appreciated.

I'd wager they are blown glass as the stems don't look uniform in size/shape.

The bowl, stem and foot were made separately and attached together at the factory.

Obviously you bought them to drink a real absinthe out of. Or because they look good and should sell.

That, and they were .25 apiece . :) Now Ill put them with the dozens of others of useless glassware I will never use .
I thought they were a little crudely put together, but I never thought it could be done that way. Interesting!

I watched the workers do that at the Tacoma Glass Museum a few year back.

I actually think they might be taper candle holders , rather then cordials. But I could be wrong.

Bdigger, when I first saw these, I thought to myself, "Well, maybe they ARE cordial glasses, but I would use them for tapers!" (To me, they look unbalanced. I was thinking that the height of candles would offset the height of those stems with such small "cups" on top of them.)

A cordial would hold about 1 ounce . Check and see. Using 2 different colors of glass like this does not have me thing candle holder. I think the bowl may be to thin for a good socket..

I think we can rule out candle holder,I tried it with a very thin taper and its terribly unbalanced. Does anyone think these are older ? I cant imagine theres much call for new cordials ! Thank you all for the input . :)

They look 70s to me - and I/we were still ordering cordial glasses with our stemware in the 90s, so??????
