    Hi all,
not mine, they belong to a friend - these are 2 1/2"H, would they be shot glasses? I always think of a shot glass as straight sided but I'm wrong many times:)
Marked on the base Mexico 925 Hecheon
    any information appreciated
    thanks for looking:)

They're shaped like snifters. Maybe for a shot of brandy?

CX, these are often listed as "cordials" - whether correctly or not, I don't know!

Think they would be marked HECHO EN MEXICO, made in Mexico.

thanks SBSVC:) I wonder if people use these names/type of glass when drinking these days or just pour a drink in whatever glass they have?

thanks Bronwen:) there is no space in between the letters so I typed it as is, yes to Made in Mexico

Mid 20th century cordials (for liqueurs), novelty snifter shape, not anywhere near the size of a proper snifter (there is purpose in the wide deep form of a brandy snifter). I've a couple similar to these that my Mom kept with her Maciel silver overlaid 'Pinch' decanter, and found them a bit awkward for sipping, but they are appealing. Have also had them in sterling, silverplate, and pewter - all sold well when I sold off the bulk of my barware collection years ago...
