Glass Id Candle Holders Old? New?

    First place i'd look would be Tiffin/U. S. Glass Co. Time? 40s or 50s. Just a guess.

    My thoughts were Tiffin as well but I have not found them yet.

    I did not spot them on a trip though Felt & Storer pictorial index. Still I think I have seen some before.

    check Tiffin Velva or Vel-Va

    Yep I missed it Velva but an unknown line number. Late 30s likely.

    I couldn't let it rest, U. S. Glass Co. p 246 Felt-Storer 3. Known as Velva, often fount frosted. 1937.

    LOL I was searching for "Lyre" not pineapple!

    So I am a bit confused is Tiffin Velva and U.S.Glass Co. Velva one and the same?

    Oh I see now, It is the same Company. Thanks!

    Yes Tiffin was originally a plant name for one of the United States Glass Co plants it became the last functioning location and USG changed its name. I left out a whole bunch of information in that. Collectors referred to patterns by the original company name or plant location. Too much info for here even if I knew half of it.

    Well I thank you :) but no worries! to list I now have all the info needed! Pattern name, Manufacturer, and date produced... Couldn't ask for more!
