GLASS HAND Antique or New

    Trying to determine of this glass hand is new or old. What is it used for? Lots of mold lines & such. Thanks!

    Hi,
    I think it is an Asian copy of the glass hands used to make rubber gloves for the medical services. There were thousand used in the manufacturing plants.

    These popped up all over the place in the late 1990's - early 2000's. At the time they ran around the $20 range. I remember seeing a lot of them in cobalt. Not so much in orange. Thought it would make for a cool looking jewelry display for my showcase but I thought $20 was a little too high so never took the plunge.

    Yes, they did! Around 2005, I bought one in pink for my son's high school girlfriend (who wore lots of rings!) She thought it was the coolest thing ever. It was brand new when I bought it.
