Another day, another item! I'm trying to figure out the manufacturer of this basket set. The large basket is about 10 1/4" across and about 9" high. The little baskets measure 3 1/2" across and 2 3/4" high. The large basket has panels (very shallow and difficult to see) but the smaller ones do not. I checked for the basket handler's mark but could only come up with Indiana Glass and Fenton after 1996, neither of which makes much sense. I've checked my glass basket book (White) but couldn't turn them up. Any clues would be helpful. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide.

My first thought was Tiffin or Heisey. But I don't think either did a polished pontil.
This is a quality glass company -
So the question is who did such a nice round pontil.

The only one I can think of is Steuben.
I did a quick look and didn't come up with anything.

OOOOH! Steuben would have been lovely - I've never had a piece before - a shame it hasn't panned out. Tiffin is a real possibility, though - I went back through my Tiffin books and saw they made a lot of favor baskets. I can't explain the pontil though. I'll do some more research. Thanks for looking and for the leads!

After searching some more I found a favor basket in opalescence with the same design in the handler's mark area. The seller doesn't identify the manufacturer though. It's on another site but if you google opalescent favor basket it should be the first image.

    Pairpoint glass is a possibility.
    They are still in business.
This may not be an old item, as in 1930s-40s. Could be something newer, last 30 years.

They have a website. Small cost to ask if it is theirs.
