I found these glass earrings in a charity shop a couple of days ago and just loved the vibrant colours. I assumed they were Murano but having done a bit of googling it would seem that they were by Archimede Seguso for Chanel in the 1960s. They are unmarked as were the ones I found in my search. I know there were other Venetian makers who did very similar glass jewellery - mainly necklaces - but I can only find earrings like these attributed to Seguso. Have I found treasure??!!!
The only fault is that the metal cup fittings & rondelle are quite tarnished 20230708_192552.jpg 20230708_192910.jpg 20230708_193004.jpg 20230708_193039.jpg 20230708_193056.jpg on one earring. I'm not sure how to go about cleaning it as I'm worried I'll damage the pearls in the process as it will be quite a fiddly job on such a small area. They are just over an inch long.
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

    Oh, treasure and I’m jealous.

If you’re very careful, a cotton bud with a smear of vinegar on it might work. Put a tissue over the pearls.

Thank you - I'll try that, don't think the pearls are real but I wouldn't want to take the pearly coating off!

    I’d be keeping them, there’s a surprise.

interestingly, I’ve a very similar pair in enamelled metal made by Cabochon in the nineties. They obviously copied.
