I am able to find many of these in white milk glass online, but having a hard time finding blue milk glass crosses. Maybe I'm not using the correct terms for it and that's why I can't find it. There is no maker mark on it, not sure when this would of been made either. Would this had been made for the church and not sold to the public? It's 9.5" tall and 4" wide at the bottom. There is a hairline mark on the base of the cross. It does not show on the other side. Could that line be something that happened as it was produced? Thanks for any insight!

    Have you tried using "crucifix?"

I have used the word crucifix, didn't see any blue ones. Cambridge crosses have INRI on the front of the crosses according to the article, this one doesn't have that. Appreciate both of you chiming in!

I found a green one without the INRI mark identified as Boston sandwich glass. Sorry i can’t link you from my phone.
Try googling “Boston sandwich glass cross candleholder” and you may find some.

The hairline mark is a "shear mark mark" aka "straw mark" where the glob of glass in the mold was cut off from a larger gather. The shears were too cool and that cooled faster causing the mark. It is not damage but a visual step down from "perfect". It does reduce dollar value. Too me that indicates older manufacturing date.

Thank you Bdigger and George, very helpful! I've looked around but din't find anything under sandwich glass. I did find a pair in white milk glass on Etsy, exact same design for $50. There is no maker mentioned.

    Hi,
There are many companies that did glass Crucifixes. Tom Felts book on candlesticks has a large section on telling them apart. Tom has three books on candlestick I do not remember which one has the chapter on Crucifixes.
