Featured Glass cane bead necklace

    Hi all

    Came across this glass bead necklace. I've done plenty of searching online looking at Italian and trade beads but can't find anything similar. Both the beads and the cord look modern but I know there's people here who are knowledgeable about such things.

    Beads are 9mm in diameter and 3-5mm in width.

    They look Indonesian. East Java has an ancient glass and trade bead tradition, but in recent decades they have been making replicas of all sorts of trade bead styles.
    These flat Venetian style beads look very much like recent East Javanese production. Very pretty.

    Really nice looking beads. Looks like a long strand as well. If those were mine I'd put them up on Ebay in an auction setting.

    Thanks AJ, I see some similarities with Indonesian/Javanese beads.
