Apply a thin layer of paint on your finger tip and try dabbing it on that area, it may become visible.

I tried the aluminum foil thing and it just didn't work.
I needed some paint for the living room anyway so I went to the store.
While I was gone, the kids did this with the aluminum foil...

On the way back from the hardware store, I had to slam on my brakes to avoid another driver who pulled in front of me and this happened....

Not wanting to give up, I tried the parchment paper/tracing thing. This is what I got....

Now, I'm headed to the urgent care clinic to see if they can help me out with all this paint....

When I get back, I'll try something else a bit more subdued :)

The thought being that it would be opaque against the glass. :vulcan::artist:

You might want to try the easy route and press a little modelling clay (like Sculpy) to get a print of the mark. Then dab a little paint or nail polish on the impression and press it lightly on paper.

Easy, even if it dries, it's on glass.
What you use just depends on what you have available to work with.
