Been searching for the maker of this amberina cruet for a couple of days. Google images turned up 2. One on Ruby Lane IDed as Hobbs Coin Spot and one on Etsy with no ID. Just called it Victorian. I've been informed that it isn't Hobbs due to the shape and Hobbs name was Polka Dot (of which I have 2 in the correct shape). Any help IDing this cruet would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I do not have the stopper [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

My monitor is showing this as more rubina verde than amberina.

Hi, it must be something to do with your monitor as there is no green in this cruet.

Must be, it's an old monitor (like its owner!) Your cruet is a lovely piece.

    Hi Carl -
    Nice to see you.

I saw the one on Ruby Lane. If that was the original stopper, then I wonder if that isn't one of the 1960s-70s Italian imports.
The other thing to look at is the spout. I think that the old cruets generally were a three fold type of rim around the spout, where this has just the one pulled spout. I don't know if I explained that well.

    Hi,
The handle is by____________. I know the answer but the old fog is there this morning. When I am more alert I'll remember more. Sorry

Hi Pat, I know what you mean. I know all the EAPG cruets have this single spout and I did run across some of the older hand blown cruets with both the single and triple spout.

Hi Greg, I know what you mean. I recall reading something a few years back about the reed handles but like you, the fog hasn't lifted.

I believe that it is Mt. Washington. Needs a good old stopper.

Hello Fenton, I'll check into that. Thank you

I think Mt Washington is a deeper cranberry and amber. Also, I think the reeded handles on Mt Washington were the same deep amber color as the body.

Carl's cruet is a very week amber color. Or so it appears from the pictures.

    Have you asked Tom.
BTW, haven't seen Tom post in a while. Has anyone heard from him?

No I haven't asked Tom. Hadn't seen him around in awhile

Aside from agreeing about the tri-corn top, Tom doesn't have an opinion on this cruet, well, maybe the color could be stronger to be Victorian.
