    The bronze sculpture is 15 pound. The base is 14 1/2" X 4 3/4" 12" tall

I might not have the name correct. I see a lot of sculpture with this theme but none with this type of Greek keys like base Help ID signature. 20190504_120753.jpg 20190504_121021.jpg 20190504_120820.jpg 20190504_120808.jpg 20190504_121117.jpg 20190504_121052.jpg 20190504_121245.jpg 20190504_122036.jpg

'The material is not ivory but a compound of marble, alabaster and resin that was poured into a mold and then hand-finished. Amilcare Santini was a sculptor born in Florence, Italy in 1910. His firm reproduces sculptures based on his original designs, and those of several other artists. Though he died in 1975, the firm remains in business and is still run by his family. The majority of models are classical in style and are either religious or mythological in theme.'

Bronwen That was extensive, So many different versions. This base on this one looks and feels like solid brass or copper, looks more like copper at lease the base does.
    Thanks

Knew you'd be back. :) Took me a little looking at the signature this way & that, but realized it could be Santini pretty quickly. After that it was easy. The one that looks like silver is marked 925, so they seem to be high quality, museum gift shop worthy, pieces. Like the ram's head on the chariot pole & the chariot itself is 'anatomically correct'.

A part of the cape is broken off and someone painted it as a method of repair. It should be longer.

Pretty sturdy stuff if no more damage than that was done. The billowing cloak would have been very vulnerable.

Bronwen I finally got a chance to look at the cloak on the chariot again it's nice but not really my fancy. I see what you were saving about the foil repair solution.
