Gladiator art 1.jpg Gladiator art 2.jpg Gladiator art 1.jpg Gladiator art 2.jpg Gladiator art 1.jpg Gladiator art 2.jpg I thought this was kinda interesting (located in my aunts house I am cleaning out), but not sure if it is work anything. I took close up photos of the crests too (not the best pictures...) Included in the close-up photos is the stamp on the back of the art.

From the helmets, the figures appear to be Greeks (Spartans, specifically) not Romans. And the badges belong to British Army regiments. Decorative wall plaques from the 1960s/1970s. The theme that unites Ancient Greece and a modern army is probably "warriors." The elements make no sense together otherwise. American Art Industries opened in 1956.

Yes, I thought it was strange having those helmets and the badges. My aunt has a lot of interesting art in her house that I am trying to identify.

For some reason I keep reading "Gladiator at work". Like: "do not disturb, genius at work". I looked anyway, but very quietly.:shame:

More like Roman Centurions, not Gladiators. Very typical 1950s-60s
